Two leading broadband experts have predicted that mobile internet usage will overtake fixed landline usage within the next two years.
The growth in laptops and mobile friendly phones together with the lowering of prices of accessing wireless internet has made it much easier to use , than having to rely on a landline connection.
With that trend continuing , and the expected growth in mobile internet devices over the next couple of years, a fixed line internet connection may soon be a thing of the past !

The recent news that Apple had eventually agreed terms with a Canadian carrier ( Rogers ) for the iPhone , highlighted that Canada seemed to have a real problem with its wireless networks in away that the US doesn’t , and it seems the Canadian government is trying to do something about it.

Trade ssociations come in different shapes and sizes and have differing levels of effectivesness.The Mobile Marketing Association seems to have quite an impressive membership and certainly has some good aims in terms of helping develop areas of the mobile internet.
Great article in the International Herald and Tribune that basically asks the question , where is all the mobile advertising ? It follows on slightly , in a different context , to the chicken and egg question that the iPhone to Canada issue raises.
