Risk Awareness

Really good article from a website that deals with general internet security ,
focusing specifically on risks to young people and their cell phones.
It makes the point that the increasing advances in technology that
makes phones more internet accessible bring with it certain risks that
aren’t always that obvious and require more thought than simply installing
anti-virus software.

Chinese figures show way forward

Recent figures released show the enormity of the way China is developing in a particularly unique way, According to the CNNIC ( Chinese Internet Network Information Center ) , at the end of 2007 , China has approximately 210 million internet users ( almost as many as the US ) as well as just under 540 million cell phone users ! ( according to AFP )

Its Becoming a Trend

Another , in what is turning out to be an occasional series , of the dangers of not understanding the real terms of a phone agreement.
This again is a really sad story of a guy who faces bankruptcy because he ran up a £27000 phone bill after using his cell phone as a modem.

Yahoo teams up with T-Mobile

Yahoo has teamed up with T-Mobile in the UK to to provide target based advertising to T-Mobile’s customers.
It already has a similar deal with Vodafone , giving it access to two of the UK’s main carriers .
Reuters reports the tie up between the two companies and says it shows how the potentiallly enormous growth in mobile advertising has yet to begin really, and how mobile advertising can actually be far more effective than most other forms.
